The Iowa Board of Parole granted Heidi a parole on October 31, 2012 . The decision was unanimous 3-0. Heidi was released just before Thanksgiving , on Nov. 14.
It’s been 14 years. Good news at last. Thank God.

Yay!! Heidi!! I have let all the Chi Chi’s people know – at least the ones on Facebook. We are all very happy and excited for you!!

I wrote about Heidi’s case several years back (the essay was posted on here), and I’ve been continuing to follow her case in hopes of hearing one day soon she was going to be released. I’m so glad for Heidi and her family that that day has finally arrived. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with her throughout.
